Three stages of Hierophant Varno’s fall: from austere church interrogator, to cunning sorcerer of Tzeentch, to monstrous Blessed Spawn.

Once the Cardinal’s shadow, Varno stood tall in his dark, severe robes, a man feared for his interrogations and whispered verdicts. But whispers became temptations, and temptations became bargains. In the form of the Trueseer, he commanded visions of the future and twisted the fates of entire cities. Yet the future was never enough and so he reached for the past. What emerged from that final grasp was not a man, nor even a sorcerer, but a Blessed Spawn: a colossus of madness, a vessel for the warp, and a beacon for daemons.
